Warnings: Before starting Monocef 1 gm Injection, please inform your doctor if you have any allergy (against any antibiotic), kidney or liver problems. Do not take Monocef 1 gm Injection on your own as self-medication may lead to antibiotic-resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections. Talk to your doctor before taking Monocef 1 gm Injection if you have/had received calcium-containing products recently, had diarrhoea after taking antibiotics, inflammation of the bowel, kidney stones, or any other illness. Do not take antacids along with Monocef 1 gm Injection; maintain a gap of 2-3 hours between both. Avoid taking Monocef 1 gm Injection if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by a doctor. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking Monocef 1 gm Injection to prevent unpleasant side-effects. Monocef 1 gm Injection may cause dizziness, so be cautious while driving. Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking and about your health condition to rule out any unpleasant side-effects.
Medicine Interaction: Monocef 1 gm Injection may have interaction with a diuretic (furosemide), and antibiotic (chloramphenicol).

Side Effects: Irritation where the shot is given. - Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. - Loose stools (diarrhea). Yogurt or probiotics may help. You may get these products at health food stores or in some pharmacies. - For women, vaginal yeast infection. Report itching or discharge.
