It is used to treat infections caused by bacteria such as gonorrhoea (infection of a female reproductive organ), pelvic inflammatory disease and also infections of lungs, skin, blood, bones, joints, and abdomen.
This medicine belongs to a class of medications known as cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by killing the bacteria. It should always be taken under a doctor’s guidance.
