EFFECTIVE 250MG contain cefuroxime which belongs to a group of medicine called cephalosporin antibiotics. It is an antibiotic used in adults and children to treat infections of throat, sinus, middle ear, lungs or chest, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues. It works by preventing bacteria from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall). This causes the cell walls to rupture resulting in the death of the bacteria.
The common side effects are fungal infections (such as Candida), headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, nausea, stomach pain, increase in a type of white blood cell, increase in liver enzymes. Always take EFFECTIVE 250MG exactly as your doctor has told you. This medicine must be taken after food. It should be swallowed whole with water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. This medicine is strictly not recommended for children aged under 3 months. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.
